Graphic Designer & Art Director

About

Simple and engaging.
Clean and intriguing.
Design & layout for brands, publications and people.

In college, I studied film and graphic design. After landing a fellowship at The Onion, I went on to become one of the year-round graphic designers at the Sundance Institute, where I get to combine my passions. Currently, I’m moving into designing for my fourth festival.

When it comes to design, I focus on creating clean and unique elements through branding, page design and typography. I believe the same amount of time can be spent on a “simple” design as a complex one. Simple can still be engaging, creative and unique. While the eye is naturally drawn towards busier patterns, the true success of clean design lies in its ability to relieve the eye. Ultimately, a clean design takes complications and puts them to rest with its subtle intricacy and approachable medium, which makes media exposure more pleasant.

When I’m not designing at my computer, I love going out into nature with my pup, hanging with my kitty and watching movies.
